Uncle Phil

Motherwell midfielder Phil O'Donnell

Phil O’Donnell, Motherwell FC’s captain, died on Saturday aged just 35.  ‘Uncle’ Phil collapsed during the game against Dundee Utd and died later in hospital.  Phil was part of the Motherwell team that won the Scottish Cup in 1991 and I’ll never forget his goal.  A great player and a good man, he will be sadly missed.

PHIL was an inspiration. No coincidence that both scottish clubs he played for had arguably their best ever seasons!!!!! Motherwell winning the Scottish cup and Celtic winning the league championship and in the process, stopping rangers attempt to win 10 in a row!!!. Heaven now has one hell of a football team with Jinky , Cooper and O’Donnell in their midfield !!! God Bless Phil and RIP!!! youl never walk alone !!!!
